First Profession in Malawi

Ruth, Judith and Bernadetta First Professio.

On 22 August, the novices Ruth Katantha, Judith Gideon and Bernadetta Mponda made their First Profession at St Andrew Kaggwa Parish in Lilongwe, Malawi, during a Mass presided over by Most, Rev. Vincent Mwakhawawa, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe. Sr. Pennamma Joseph, Vicar General, received the profession of the three novices.

Sisters from the Congregation and from other congregations present in Malawi, as well as priests, family members and friends, accompanied Ruth, Judith and Bernadetta as they gave their ‘yes’ to Jesus as Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix.

Srs. Ruth, Judith and Bernadetta will spend a few days with their families before joining their respective communities (Mlale, Chezi and Masasa), where they will live the Congregation’s charism – “love one another as I have loved you” – and take part in the various activities of each mission.
