It is located in the south of India, in the State of Tamil Nadu, its official language is Tamil. It is a coastal area, the people are simple and most of them live from fishing. Converted to Catholicism a few years ago.
The presence of the sisters in this place is since June 2011, responding to the request of Monsignor George Allanchery, of the need to have a community in this poor and needy area.
Another one works in the pastoral center, handles the administrative part and harmony in the work as a group.
Another sister is responsible for the smooth running of a center for the promotion of women. They are a group of women who work in a clothing manufacturing center. The sisters are responsible for the integral formation of the young women. Both the Diocese and the sisters are very happy with the service. The simple people welcomed them with much love and hope.
