For three days and accompanied by F. Rufino Callejo, OP, canonist, professor of Canon Law at the University of Comillas, Madrid, and member of the juridical office of the Spanish Conference of Religious, we have read, reflected and adapted our Constitutions to the reality of the Congregation today.
These have been days of intense work, of adjusting our Constitutions to the regulations, of dialogue in search of the best. A long process which began after the IX General Chapter and which involved study groups and all the sisters of the Congregation.
The General Chapter is the one who has to approve this revision before sending to the Holy See for definitive approval and from then on, as number 272 says, they will be “an expression of God’s will for us, and a sure path to sanctification”.
We continue with our Chapter sessions. This coming week we will a week of much prayer and dialogue as we approach the election of the Superior General and her Council.
