On 27 October 2024, in the parish of San Francisco de Asís de Toyós, took place the Perpetual Profession of Sr. Digna Rubiela Bejarano Corea and Sr. Cinthia Isabel Rodríguez Banegas in the parish of St. Francis of Assisi. The Eucharist was presided over by Hector David García Osorio, bishop of the diocese of Yoro, who was accompanied by the parish administrator, Fr. Julio Martínez, and Fr. Jesús Arroyo, Cleric of San Viator from Jutiapa parish.
The sisters of the community of Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix in Toyós together with Srs. Mercedes Arbesú, Superior General, Pennamma Joseph, Vicar General, and María Cristina Toro, Junior Mistress, as well as relatives and faithful from the communities dependent on the parish of San Francisco accompanied Srs. Digna and Cinthia in this definitive yes to the Lord.
Since 2003 the Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix have been present in Toyós, in the diocese of Yoro, collaborating in Asturias medical clinic, in Santa Clara nursery and in the San Lucas women’s centre.
