On 26 April in Sonsoles Hospital Avila, Sr. Teresa Lavilla has gone to the heavely community called by the Lord to his presence.
Teresa Lavilla Peláez was born in Cangas de Onís, Asturias, on May 3, 1938. ). She joined the Congregation of the Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix on 7th January 1966. She made her First Profession on 22nd July 1967 and her Perpetual Profession on 22nd July 1972, on both occasions Fr. Esteban Gonzalez Vigil presided over the celebration.

After spending some time in the communities of Bastiagueiro, Coruña, and Rome, she arrived in Piedralaves where she carried out different missions and services, among them the procurator of the community. She was responsible, caring and hardworking sister. She knew how to welcome people and was a good in conversation.
She liked to take care of the Liturgy and everything that was related to it, she attended the chapel with great care. If a book was torn, with patience she would fix it; she had a very fine taste for decoration and handicrafts, she was skilful and precise in the arrangement of small things, of flower bouquets and she would get angry when, in her opinion, things were not done well.

She has been very loved in Piedralaves, she knew many people and they knew her. On the day of her burial, neighbours attended it and remembered her with affection.
